It would be better if you said how exactly good or how bad your credit is (hope you yourself know it) but any way there are some options for you.
As your credit is not very good and you want to improve it, the best option will be a secured credit card. Secured credit cards are created especially for people who want to build a good credit in a secure way. The one important thing about secured credit cards is that such cards require a security deposit which is used as collateral against your credit line (probably your card may work as a security deposit, consult with credit card issuer before you apply). If you close your account and pay your balance in full, your security deposit is fully refundable. Except the security deposit, secured cards act like general credit cards. Also secured credit cards, unlike prepaid cards, report your credit performance to major credit bureaus so you will be able to improve your credit score.
If you don’t want a secured credit card consider general unsecured credit cards for fair credit. If your credit score is high enough you will be able to get a card on reasonable terms and with advantageous bonus program.
I really could use a credit card but, my credit isn’t very good. I get $1,132.00 a month from social security, part is SSI and the other is retirement social security, therefore it is a fact they would get their money because it is put on Direct Express Debit MasterCard. On the first of every month my money is on the card. Please help me find a good credit card so I can build my credit up again!
