If you’ve been informed that a bank is closing your credit card account it is bad because this can affect your credit score negatively. And the first thing you should do is contact your credit card company and ask them to stop this process and keep your account open. Persuade them you will use your card more often and stick to your word. If your request is declined ask to close it yourself. It will be much better for your credit score to report your credit card to the credit bureaus as being cancelled at the customer’s request not closed by credit grantor. A note that your card was closed by your cc company could speak unfairly of your irresponsible credit card account managing even if is not seen from your credit report.
I have a credit card in my wallet which i haven’t used for a long time ’cause its terms are not good for me any more. What if my cc company decide to close it?
