The credit card issuers do not usually offer the cards with 0% introductory APR to the consumers with bad credit. However, the consumers with bad credit can still find a balance transfer offer at low balance transfer APR but the initial credit line will be low (about $300-$500) and most probably not enough to consolidate the debt. Of course the credit limit can be increased but it will take time and responsibility. You will need to make monthly payments on time without skipping or missing them, and to stay within credit limit with all your creditors, if you want to increase your credit line. That’s why if you have considerable balances and your credit is bad you have extremely low chances to consolidate your debt with the credit card help.
There is another option though – personal loans. Some creditors offer debt consolidation loans even to the people with bad credit. They can even offer you up to $1000 loan at low fixed rates.
And of course you can always talk to your creditor about paying off your debt. Most creditors are ready and willing to help.
My credit is bad, can I get a credit or a loan to consolidate my debts in only one payment?
