Glad you have such a far-reaching intention. It is well known how hard it is to start climbing out of bad credit but it is not impossible.
There are credit card issuers who create products especially for those who have bad credit: they offer prepaid cards, secured and unsecured credit cards. But not all of them report your credit performance to credit bureaus, so be attentive when you choose a credit card.
As you are going to rebuild your credit history pay your closest attention to secured credit cards. These cards have reasonable APRs and fees, sometimes they may have bonus programs, and of course the report to major credit bureaus. The only feature that may cause inconvenience is a security deposit that you have to pay. This deposit acts like collateral which credit card issuer will use when you ignore or can’t pay the credit.
Note one more thing: do not count on high credit limit, be ready that it starts somewhere from $300.
Good luck!
I’m looking for a credit card to rebuild my credit, I want to start with a small credit card.
