You can have personal credit and still have a business line of credit even if your credit is bad. Both, personal and business credit cards can be issued in your name. In this case you will be personally responsible for making payments and for making them on time. Both credit lines will affect your personal credit history and credit scores. Using personal information to apply for business credit you won’t be able to build business score.
However, if the account is only opened for the business (with business name on it) and the business makes the payments, there is a good chance that it would appear only on the business credit report. In that case, it would have no impact at all on your personal credit scores and you will be able to build a separate business credit history.
Can I have bad personal credit and still get a business line of credit with and how would that work if so?
